Emily Dickinson

"Saying nothing sometimes says the most."

"If your nerve deny you -

Go above your nerve."

"If I can stop one heart

from breaking,

I shall not live in vain;

If I can ease one life the aching;

Or cool one pain,

Or help one fainting robin,

Unto his nest again,

I shall not live in vain."

All words from Emily Dickinson

Emily Dickinson was an American poet, who lived from 1830 to 1886. She lived most of her life in isolation from the outside world, with few visitors, and spent most of her time with her family. She was an extremely prolific poet and most of her poems where kept in books or sent to friends in letters. She was not recognized for her work during her lifetime. After her death her family discovered forty hand bound volumes of close to 1800 poems. You can find her poems in books but many of her inspiring words you can see placed on a photo on pinterest

We chose Emily Dickinson because so many of her words spoke to our heart. She was a women that followed her passion, and wrote, regardless of recognition. A simple lesson to do what you love, and love what you do.

Much love to all of you,
