Saskatoon Berry 9 Grain Muffins

I grew up in Saskatoon, SK. I have very fond memories of Saskatoon and a couple in particular from brunches at The Saskatoon Berry Barn. It has a warmth, a vibe, it leaves a lasting impression for kids and adults alike with it's gardens, play structures, it's tasty food, the view of the river, the list goes on. Do you know what I love? Enjoying a hot tea watching big fluffy snowflakes fall to the ground. Notice how I said - hot. The trick to that is to keep my kids busy while I enjoy that bit of bliss. We hope you enjoy these snap shots.  Each time we manage to share a few uninterrupted words it seems we come up with something new for the shop. Stick with us if your curious about the latest! ...

Matcha Rhubarb Muffins on a Wednesday

If there is one thing I have every single day, it's matcha in some way or form. Usually tea, but today, while my twins napped I thought I'd try out Matcha Rhubarb Banana muffins with rhubarb from our garden.  I used this recipe: Matcha Rhubarb Banana muffins from TeaPigs and the muffins turned out really great. Let's be honest though, anything baked in my house is loved and anything you put flowers on, well instant pretty. The only difference we did to the recipe was we doubled the recipe, always, and we added some cinnamon, because we felt cinnamon and rhubarb go hand in hand.   Keep an eye out for some matcha to sip and bake with coming to the shop really soon. ...
